Guide: LED Strips
What to think about when buying LED strips
Quality is key in all LED strips
All Paulmann LED strips can be easily attached with an adhesive strip, meaning they can be fitted virtually everywhere. The product lines YourLED, YourLED Eco and MaxLED differ in their luminous intensity, coating and their options for shortening or lengthening. Make your light projects a reality with our system solutions. The MaxLED strips 500 and 1000 create a uniform light appearance, which makes them an excellent choice for routing in profiles.Brightness
We offer LED strips with the perfect brightness for any use – from decorative lighting to powerful room illumination. For each LED strip, the lumen (lm) or lumen per metre (lm/m) value is stated on the packaging. For reference: a 40 W incandescent light bulb would have had a brightness of 400 lm. A MaxLED 500 strip has an output of 550 lm/m, making it an excellent work light.
Coating
Coated strips have a transparent coating for more durability during installation and operation. With an additional protection for the contact points, coated strips are also splash-protected (IP44) for use in kitchens and bathrooms. Uncoated strips are perfect on furniture and in profiles, where they are protected.
Light Colour
Just like sunlight, the colour temperature of LEDs has an effect on our mood. Colour temperature is stated in Kelvin (K) and lets you know whether an LED emits a warm yellow (2,700 K) or more of a cool blue (6,500 K) light. Tunable white offers an infinitely adjustable choice of warm white for relaxation, invigorating neutral white, or daylight white for concentrated work. RGBW gives you an infinitely adjustable selection of 16 million colours plus true warm white.
Accessories
A wide range of accessories lets you to control the brightness or light colour of your strips via remote, voice command, app or sensor. Choose the perfect light – for every room.
