You wonder what the icons on the packaging on your new luminaire or LED strip mean? Or maybe you spotted an icon in the Paulmann online shop you haven't seen before?
Then you've come to the right place. Here you will find an overview of all Paulmann icons and what they mean.
Light source consumer-replaceable: You can easily replace the lamp yourself.
Light source professionally replaceable: The lamp must be replaced by an electrician.
Light source not replaceable: This lamp cannot be replaced. You will have to replace the luminaire.
Operating device consumer-replaceable: You can replace the transformer yourself.
Operating device professionally replaceable: The transformer must be replaced by an electrician.
Operating device not replaceable: The transformer cannot be replaced. You will have to replace the luminaire.
Rechargeable-battery operated: Your luminaire is operated with a rechargeable battery.
Battery-operated: Your luminaire is battery-operated.
Rechargeable battery included: The rechargeable battery for your luminaire is included in the delivery.
Batteries included: The batteries needed for your luminaire are included in the delivery.
Solar-powered: Your luminaire is powered by solar energy.
Floor mounting: Your luminaire is designed to be mounted on the floor.
Wall mounting: Your luminaire is designed to be mounted on the wall.
Ceiling mounting: Your luminaire is designed to be mounted on the ceiling.
IP20: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 20. That means it is protected against the ingress of solid particles with a diameter of 12.5 mm or larger, but not against water. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
IP23: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 23. That means it is protected against the ingress of solid particles with a diameter of 12.5 mm or larger, and against spray water at any angle up to 60° from the vertical. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
IP44: our luminaire has an IP protection class of 44. That means it is protected against solid foreign objects with a diameter of 1.0 mm or more, and against spray water from any angle. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
IP54: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 54. That means it is protected against dust ingress and spray water from any angle. More information can be found in our guide to IP Protection.
IP65: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 65. That means it is fully protected against dust ingress and jet water (low-pressure) from any angle. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
IP67: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 67. That means it is fully protected against dust ingress and can be immersed in water under specific conditions of pressure and time. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
IP68: Your luminaire has an IP protection class of 68. That means it is fully protected against dust ingress and can be immersed in water for any amount of time. For more information, please read our advice page on IP Protection.
Lamp included: A suitable lamp is included in the delivery.
Lamp not included: A lamp is not included in the delivery.
Sensor: Your luminaire has a built-in sensor that responds to movements in close proximity.
Bluetooth: Your luminaire offers Bluetooth functionality. You can control it via the app on your smartphone, or via remote control.
Zigbee: Your luminaire offers Zigbee functionality and can be connected to various other products in your home.
Dusk sensor: Your luminaire has a built-in dusk sensor. It will switch on and off depending on the brightness of its surroundings.
RGBW: Your luminaire can emit light in various white tones and colours.
Tunable White: The white tone of your luminaire is infinitely adjustable.
