How to install recessed luminaires in wood ceilings
Tips for installing recessed spotlights in ceiling panels
Panelled ceilings add a high-quality surface for unfinished ceilings, lower the height of the ceiling and also offer a number of options for uniform or accented lighting with recessed spotlights. Another advantage: the electrical supply line is hidden from view. When you have a look through the Paulmann range, take note the IP protection class of the recessed luminaires. Make sure to choose the right protection to use in wet rooms, e.g. bathrooms.
1. Plan and route the electric lines for the recessed luminaires when installing the ceiling panels.
2. Use a hole saw to create the openings for the luminaires before attaching the panel boards.
3. The transformer for the luminaires connects to the prepared supply line and is then hidden from view inside the ceiling cavity.
4. Use plug-in connectors to connect the supply cables for the individual luminaires with the transformer.
5. Route the supply cables above the ceiling panels to each of the openings and then install the spotlights from the underside.
6. The two spring elements are pushed inward...
7. ...so that they are deployed and anchored on the back of the panel.
