Can the Park + Light lighting system be connected to a 230V cable?
No, not directly. The Park + Light system operates on 12V DC (safety extra-low voltage) and must never be connected directly to a 230V cable, as this will damage the system and pose a risk from mains voltage.
A Park + Light transformer is always required for operation. This is connected to a 230V outdoor socket via its integrated Schuko plug and safely converts the mains voltage to the required 12V.
(Note: If only a fixed 230V earthed cable is available at the mounting location, a suitable outdoor socket must first be installed there by a qualified electrician.)
Can I cut off the RCD plug on the Park + Light transformer so that I can connect it directly to a 230V cable?
As the manufacturer, we strongly advise against this.
Cutting off the plug will result in the immediate cancellation of the manufacturer’s guarantee, the statutory guarantee and CE conformity. Furthermore, as a result of this modification, the product is no longer in its tested condition.
Should a specialist contractor (electrician) nevertheless carry out direct wiring at the customer’s request, this is done at the contractor’s own risk.
Can all park light lights be combined with one another?
All products can be combined as desired. The exception is the Park + Light Bimea outdoor wall light (94586) with a motion detector: this cannot be controlled using the Zigbee controller, the Zigbee remote control or the Park + Light motion detector controller.
Are the park lights dimmable?
The lights in the Park + Light range are dimmable. The only exception is the Park + Light Bimea outdoor wall light (94586) with a motion detector.
Can different power sources be combined?
No, only one power source can be used within a Park + Light system.
Which park lights can be controlled via the Zigbee controller?
The Zigbee controller can be used to control all the lights in the Park + Light system. These can be dimmed, switched on and switched off using the controller. The only exception is the Park + Light Bimea outdoor wall light (94586) with a motion detector.
If a light fitting has a motion detector, can other lights be switched on by it?
A light’s motion detector can only control that particular light, as the switching signal is not transmitted outwards via the supply cable to other components.
What is the maximum permitted length of cable for Park + Light?
The maximum length of the cables between the power supply unit and the lights must not exceed 15 metres.
What is the maximum permitted length of the cable when power is supplied from the Plug & Shine System via the adapter?
The maximum length of the cable is 15 metres. There is no difference between using the Park + Light solar panel, the Park + Light transformer or the Park + Light adapter for Plug & Shine.
How many park lights can be controlled simultaneously using the Zigbee controller?
You can easily control your system, which has a maximum power of 24 W, using the Zigbee controller (e.g. 8 lights at 3 W each).
